Gold, a heavy yellow metallic chemical element used in making a wide range of products such as jewelry coins and electronics. As far back as the Egyptians, they used gemstones such as sapphires, rubies, emeralds and gold as the most precious of all rocks and metals in worship and healing. The Egyptians treated gold sacredly, as it looked like the color of the sun and after their god and creator of their universe Re. It is believed that gold possessed a great healing power, as formed into a powder it was placed into drinks and ingested to comfort aching limbs or placed on the skin to cure ulcers. A German Nobel Prize winner Robert Koch, a bacteriologist discovered that compounds made with gold inhibited growth of the bacillus casing tuberculosis. Because it is biologically benign, biochemists today use gold to form compounds with proteins to create new drugs. However, most people associate gold with jewelry use.

There are five different Alloys in gold they are White, Rose, Pink Green and Black Hills Gold. White gold has nickel added to it to create a white color, but can be a negative to those who are nickel sensitive. However palladium is another metal that is used, it is related to platinum that can be used instead of nickel, although it is more expensive then nickel when used. The Rose or Pink gold is when copper is added to the gold creating a pinks and rose tones. However the more copper that is used the deeper the color. The Green Gold is created when adding silver to gold. Finally, Black hills gold has a nice look of the different colored gold. More then 50% of Black Hills gold uses 10 Karat to 12 Karat gold in all the different shades of alloys the greens, yellows, pinks and roses.
